As far as incorporating the Common Core standards, and making sure students are prepared for the future......I like to use Khan Academy as a mini-assessment. We are learning concepts outside of Khan with the Montessori Materials, and then proving our understanding with the Materials--- and independently on Khan Academy. This is a great preparation for the M-step test as well. Khan is highly aligned to the common core and helps us see any holes in the curriculum.
